-Keep in mind, in Kendo for a strike to be successful, it has to be on target with one of the permitted targets, and the attack must stamp their foot down and shout at the same time. If your attack roll is better than the defense, then it's assumed you did that.-
The kendo club has been training daily, but now it's time get in some practice matches and see how everyone is doing.
The lineup is:
Ogasawara vs Tanaka (What! is this thing rigged? actually, it is
Nakajima vs Daito
Itô vs Shimazu
(The last one I'll just describe, we don't need to roll for the NPC vs NPC. If I do the first two it should be enough to see how good the combat rules are.)
Ogasawara vs Tanaka
initiative roll
Ogasawara (CV) 4 + 7 (roll) = 11
Tanaka (CV) 2 + 7 (roll) = 9
Ogasawara wins and will attack: Head: +3 to Attack / -3 to next Initiative
Tanaka will you defend high or low? [Defending High and the head was targeted. -3 to next Initiative OR Defending Low and the head was targeted -3 to Defense / +3 to next Initiative]
*******************************************
Nakajima vs Daito
initiative roll
Nakajima (CV) 5 + 8 (roll) = 13
Daito (CV) 2 + 6 (roll) = 8
Nakajima wins and will attack: Torso -3 to Attack / +3 to next Initiative
Daito will defend low (Defending Low and the hands or torso was targeted +3 to next Initiative)
(I'll hold off resolving until Tanaka replies, I'll keep them even.)
